Visitor Library Card Application

With a Visitor Library Card, you can check out most library materials for four weeks (see Circulation Policies and Circulation Loan Periods ). You cannot use databases off campus or interlibrary loan services. If you need this service, you may consider membership in the Friends of NIU Libraries . Visitor Library Cards are valid for one year. A new application is required each year. Please review our terms and conditions before proceeding.

I understand that materials I borrow with my NIU Visitor Library Card are my responsibility, that I will follow all Circulation Policies , and report any change of name, address, etc., promptly to the Circulation Department at 815-753-9844 or circulation_univ_libraries@niu.edu .
