Policy Narrative

The following policy has been designed to ensure the availability of the Reflection Room located on the 3rd floor in room 302 of Founders Memorial Library for its intended purpose: to provide users and staff with quiet space for individual reflection, meditation, or prayer.

Purpose

  1. The Reflection Room’s intended use is for individual reflection, meditation, or prayer. Those seeking to study will find available learning spaces throughout Founders Memorial Library.
  2. All devices, such as cell phones or computers, must be turned off or in silent mode.
  3. Users may not store or leave materials or items in the Reflection Room.
  4. A quiet, respectful atmosphere is to be maintained at all times.
  5. More than one individual may use the Reflection Room at a time; however, no individual may interfere with the room’s use by another.
  6. The window blinds must be left open at all times.
