Gender Studies Collection

The Gender Studies Collections consists of a growing collection of books and other published materials pertaining to gender studies, including gay, lesbian, transgendered, bisexual, and women’s studies. A particular strength of this collection is the publication history for the winners and nominees of the Lambda Literary Foundation’s Lammie Awards and the American Library Association’s Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Round Table (GLBTRT) Awards, now called the Stonewall Award.

Special emphasis is also placed on Midwest periodicals, particularly those not already on microfilm. Archival collections that enhance the Gender Studies Collection include the Circlet Press Papers, Bill Valentine Papers, and the In All Things Charity Collection, which contains documents rearding homosexuality and teachings of the United Methodist Church.
